Moonies... An experience a friend of mine had in the late 70's
by out of the box ina couple i knew (now baptized jws, i brought them in) went to a lecture in weston, mass.
they loved the lecture about life and seeking a higher spiritual plain.
right after the lecture (body guards at the doors) they were encouraged to leave their cars in the (now dark, no lighting) parking lot.

Help me handle this louser
by Cupcake inhi everyone just had another situation wanted to know your all opnion on how to deal with this one.
here goes..... i got a dozen roses with ballons the other day at work and it had type written on the card " to someone special ?
"that was on friday.... i called my x and ask others if they sent them to me and everyone said no......including my co workers then tuesday when i went to work, the florist brought me another dozen roses with a teddy bear and said he forgot to bring me the teddy bear on friday so he had a dozen roses a teddy bear and ballons again and the card read " thinking of you".... again didnt know who sent it... i talk to a co worker who is trying to make the moves on me and he said " do you want me to tell you the truth?

I didn't read all the posts and just read about him being an x-con and gang member.....

Like someone else said here don't even waste another brain cell on the AH.
Sorry for ranting but I have no use for these types as I have had my fill of these types of people and their "poor me" routine, while I have worked darn hard all my life for what I have....

Lies and games come form both sides (men and women) as I have had my share of them. You don’t like it when it is played on you so why do it to someone else. The best thing you can do is tell him you’re not interested and any more advances will be considered as unwelcome. If it doesn't stop you will have to take it to the next step i.e. sexual harassment. Cut him right off before he gets started is the best way to handle the situation.

Are JWs really persecuted?
by gringojj ini find it interesting that the wts has this persecution complex.
apostates all out to get them and stuff.
i must say that although a search on the web will bring you lots of great anti-jw stuff(thier own fault because they only have 1 official website) the number of people actually trash talking is quite small and its mostly ex-jws and some still in the org.

Talking to "worldly" people about Jdubs and it was never a big issue for them. They really never gave the Dubs a second thought let alone bother to persecute them. Most often then not the Dubs bring it on themselves. As a good friend of mine told me about the time her father politely asked the Dubs not to call on their door and this Dub woman had the nerve to stick her foot in the door. She said her father said to her, "if you don't want to lose it, you better take your foot out of the door".
I recall myself going door to door as a kid and after being asked politely by the house holder they were not interested and the Dub would still keep talking until the person at the door would get fed up and abruptly tell us to leave. Looking back on the way some Dubs can be so pushy, I can hardly blame some for being so nasty.

Lucid Dreaming Thread, and is it for Christians?

(simon, when are you going to get the site's search function working again?).
lucid dreaming is where one "wakes up" while still dreaming, and one can be "aware" of what is going on within your dreams.. sounds interesting, doesn't it?.

A subject of great interest to me. I recall as a kid being able to contorl my dream state but as I got older I seem to have lost that ablity. I just bought a book a few months back on how to have Lucid Dreams. I read a bit of it but kind of went away from it for now. Hopefully get back into this fall. I am sure there are internet support groups for this. If anyone has come across such sites I would be interested also.

when they show an equation he's working on to determine when it will come, one of the numbers is 144,000!.

There has been a couple of references to the Jdub on the Simpsons. I recall the time Marge said "I was so bored the other morning I invited some Jehovah's Witnesses in just to talk to and they snuck out when I went into the kitchen to get some Ice Tea"..
